Welcome to CARA
Capital Area Recreation Association is a nonprofit organization that oversees the sports complexion on Piggery Rd. in Augusta. Kids from all over Central Maine play at our facility. We have Little League baseball, Girls Softball, Babe Ruth, Legion, Basketball Courts, and several Soccer fields.
Our budget consists of donations and sponsor money from our two fundraisers – Our Auction and our Golf Tournament. All money goes back to the complex. Our mission is to provide all children an opportunity to play ball, regardless of their financial situation.

The Capitol Area Recreation Association was created to provide recreational opportunities for all members of the area communities. Throughout the year, this complex promotes the healthy development of children, builds a positive behavior environment for youth, and develops values such as responsibility, compassion, and respect for oneself and others of all ages.
