Where Community and Recreation Come Together
Stop by our local recreation facility in Augusta
For 50 years, the CARA - Capital Area Recreation Association has been at the heart of outdoor sports and recreation in Augusta. What began as a modest effort with one Little League and one Farm League field has grown into a thriving local recreation facility nearly a mile long. Unlike many recreation areas, CARA is entirely volunteer-run—built, expanded and maintained through the tireless efforts of local citizens, businesses and contractors.
This dedication has turned CARA into more than just a sports complex—it's a symbol of what a community can achieve together. Visit one of our sports fields today to see what we’re all about.
